Laetitia “Laeti” Adam-Rabel, is a Haitian-American artist, born in 1978 who lives in Miami, Florida. She is the mother of a young girl, with whom she often collaborates. Laeti studied Fashion Design at Parsons the New School for Design in New York and received her Bachelor of Science in Art Education at Florida International University. She uses various media to address social and personal issues such as global warming, rising sea levels, blackness, feminism, inclusion, and more recently, her role as a new mother in creating a better world. She uses textile arts, photography, painting, illustration, clothing design, videography, and sound art to portray beauty, while conveying her sometimes painful emotions. Laeti is a lifelong learner who seeks to discover something new from every encounter.
